SERVICES
A holistic approach addresses health concerns by looking at a patient in his or her entirety, as a physical, emotional and spiritual being. It focuses on lifestyle as a means of treatment and prevention of disease. It believes that what an individual eats, the environmental toxins he or she encounters and life’s emotional issues impact health maintenance and disease development. Treatment goals aim to reduce or eliminate symptoms and prevent future disease without side effects.

As a holistic veterinarian, I believe I'm part of a team that includes you, your family and your pet. We share a common goal of adding years to your pet's life and life to your pet's years.
ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is a treatment developed in China several thousand years ago. It is based on the belief that energy, or Qi (Chi), flows through the body in prescribed pathways, or Meridians, maintaining the health of living organisms.
For various reasons, this Qi becomes blocked, causing pain and disease. By placing small, sterile flexible needles in the appropriate acupuncture points, blocked Qi becomes unblocked, reducing pain and inflammation, stimulating the immune system and promoting healing.
CHIROPRACTIC

Veterinary Chiropractic Therapy involves adjusting the spine in a gentle and highly specific manner. The therapy relieves symptoms primarily related to pain and movement abnormalities caused by small malalignments, or subluxations, of the vertebrae. These subluxations can interfere with the spinal nerves, causing a variety of symptoms. Chiropractic adjustment can alleviate these symptoms in a non-invasive manner free of side effects.
DIETARY CONSULTATION

Chinese Medicine believes food is medicine: What we eat affects the general state of our health. While we can’t control the genetic component of our state of health, we can control what we eat and other lifestyle choices. We have the same responsibility and control for our pet’s well-being.
Our pets did not evolve eating processed kibble. There are many reasons that a home-prepared, balanced diet of meat, vegetables and a few grains is optimal for our pets. If time or finances do not permit a home-made diet, there are many high-quality, holistic kibble or frozen diets we can discuss.
HERBAL MEDICINE

Did you know today’s pharmaceutical industry actually began as herbal medicine? Modern synthesized drugs were originally plant derived. I use primarily Chinese herbal combinations. These formulas were developed over centuries and usually contain a number of plant, animal and/or mineral materials. There are hundreds of these elegant and subtle combinations that heal gently and without side effects.
I also use several Western herbal formulas. These are similar to Chinese formulas, although generally less complex. These formulas also promote healing without side effects
