Melanie Sloan, the founder of the liberal Washington, DC, watchdog group CREW, left the organization to start a public affairs firm.
A new public affairs firm called Triumph Strategies made its public debut on Wednesday, launched by a prominent Washington watchdog. Melanie Sloan, the founding executive director of the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), is teaming up with Michael Huttner, the founder of a state-based progressive communications network called ProgressNow. It has more than 3.4 million members in 23 states.
Sloan’s firm promises an “aggressive approach” to influencing DC regulators.
While many communications firms focus on damage control, Triumph Strategy takes a more aggressive approach to ensure all responsible parties are held accountable for missteps. We have extensive experience with litigation public relations and with persuading regulators to take a harder look at bad actors and, conversely, we know how to disrupt the process to obtain a slower, better-considered approach.
The firm also offers access to Sloan’s rolodex of liberal groups.
As advocates and lawyers with decades of communications experience, we translate complicated, technical jargon into language more easily digested by key audiences. We enlist our extensive network of allies across the country to magnify your message persuasively.
