The campaign committee of embattled Rep. Frank Guinta paid a $15,000 fine to the Federal Election Commission last week, according to a document released Tuesday by the commission.

Guinta agreed to pay the fine in an agreement he reached with the FEC last month in which he admitted accepting $355,000 in excessive contributions from his parents during his 2010 campaign. He had earlier denied any wrongdoing in the matter, which had dogged him since the 2010 campaign.
Sen. Kelly Ayotte, Guinta’s fellow New Hampshire Republican, called on Guinta to step down after the agreement with the FEC became public, but Guinta has insisted he will not resign. His campaign told Campaign Pro last month that he will run for reelection next year.
Other documents released by the FEC on Tuesday provide further details on the commission’s long-running investigation into Guinta.
Guinta did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
